New Term

Welcome to our new students and welcome back to our returning ones. I'll be seeing most new students at the beginning of term and look forward to meeting you. For those coming back, there have been a few changes in the library over the Summer, so please check out the latest news on the website for more details.

Summer Arrangements

We are now reaching the end of term. The library will remain available throughout the vacation, with the Fountains Learning Centre open and the web pages giving access to electronic resources. For those of you reaching the end of your course - good luck with the next step.

Deadlines

Welcome back from the Easter break. It's the time when many of you will be preparing for exams, working on assignments and preparing to hand in dissertations. The library can help you with this. We have many study guides in stock - check out the library catalogue to find out what is available. Also, don't forget that the librarians on the Information and Help Desk on the first floor of the Learning Centre can help you to locate information if you are having any difficulties.

Off Campus Access

I've been contacted recently regarding access to library resources whilst you are working from home or are on placement. Help us!

We have been increasing the number of health e-books available to members of York St John. These are very useful resources for popular, highly used texts and also for those who work from home or are on placement. To inform the future of e-book collections, it would help us if you would complete a short survey on the topic. Welcome back. There is a new set of information skills sessions now available, but if you think another subject would be useful, please let me know. One-to-one tutorials are also available if you need help with a specific area of your research. Please get in touch if you need to.

Christmas arrangements
